ABOUT ME
I have been working in forestry since 1979. During that time I have worked for the U.S. Forest Service, Weyerhaeuser Company, and as a private timber appraiser and aerial mapping specialist. In the 1990s I did the forest mapping across several hundred thousand acres throughout the PNW and Alaska regions. My academic role has spanned almost 30 years here at the College of Forestry, Oregon State University.
Outside of OSU, I run a 25 acre ranch and vineyard in the Cascade Mountain foothills producing wine for the Surfing Horse label vintage
